# Desktop installation — Desktop 0.14.13

For Chrome / Edge on a computer only. Package: `matchup-replay-companion-desktop-0.14.13.zip`.

## First installation

1. Extract the ZIP to a permanent folder containing `manifest.json` directly.
2. Open `chrome://extensions` in Chrome or `edge://extensions` in Edge.
3. Enable Developer mode, choose Load unpacked, and select that folder.
4. Check that the extension name includes **Desktop** and its version is **0.14.13**. Pin it to the toolbar.
5. Refresh open Showdown tabs. Open the extension, enter your Showdown IDs separated by commas or new lines, and save.
6. Enable replay collection and live calculation when needed. Live calculation can also be enabled in tab 2 of the library.

## Use

Click Save Replay in Showdown and wait for the successful replay-link popup. Then open the library, select replays and a group, and click Add selected to group.

The calculator appears on the right. Drag its left edge to resize; × collapses it while keeping sync active. Turn live calculation OFF to stop it.

## Updates and backups

Export a library backup first. Extract the new **Desktop ZIP** over the same installation folder, click Reload on the extension management page, and refresh Showdown. Do not uninstall first; uninstalling may erase local records. Do not replace this installation with a Mobile package.

Teams and the library stay in this browser's local storage. Transfer them with backup export/restore; different browsers and computers do not sync automatically. Showdown's own Save Replay uploads the replay to Showdown; its visibility follows Showdown's settings.
